Toledo Molding & Die, Inc. was founded in 1955 as a model and pattern shop. Since its establishment, TMD has grown from this modest beginning into an integrated Tier One and Tier Two supplier of HVAC, Powertrain, and Interior/Exterior components and sub-systems, with over 1000 employees, 6 manufacturing plants, a highly sophisticated R&D center, test lab, and tooling facility.

The continuing success of TMD is largely attributed to our recognition of and quick response to significant trends in industrial sectors. With the increase in merger and acquisition activity and the growing internationalization of suppliers, manufacturers are seeking out suppliers that build complete component systems for assembly. Large suppliers also increasingly want to work with fewer toolmakers to supply the content for a complete interior system.

To meet these demands, TMD, both as a Tier One and Tier Two supplier, works closely with customers to supply complete systems which come fully assembled and ready to install. We work closely with our customers as partners, starting at the earliest stages of product planning and development.
